Stephanie

Farmer-Florist, Designer and owner of Carriage Barn Blooms

Stephanie has been a lover of all flowers from a very early age, harkening back to growing zinnias, marigolds and vegetables with her mother at 4 years old. Using that passion and working in greenhouse plant production, landscaping, and for retail garden companies has given her over 20 years of experience in the horticultural field. Designing with cut flowers for the past 15 years, and becoming a farmer-florist was like second nature. When she and her husband Jody bought their centuries old victorian in 2013 they slowly turned the property into a hard working micro flower farm bursting with seasonal beauty. With a degree in architecture, Stephanie has developed a keen eye for color, structure and composition. Rustic country style is her muse, but she can incorporate any and all forms of design from modern to traditional and anything in between.  Living a flower filled life is her dream come true.

Designer

Lorraine has been an avid gardener her entire life, starting with a back yard vegetable garden as a child. Today she works professionally as a gardener-landscaper and has channeled that passion into Carriage Barn Blooms. Lorraine is always excited to try new varieties of flowering plants to see how they perform. Having met Stephanie in 2007, they share a mutual love for plants and cut flowers and have turned that into a labor of love.

She feels there is nothing more magical than watching a seed sprout and grow into a beautiful flower that will eventually become part of a lovely bouquet for a friend, loved one or bride, and seeing the happiness that brings to its recipient.
